UPDATE July 2021
In accordance with the current government guidelines our hall has reopened. It is lovely to begin to welcome back some of our groups and we are looking forward to the hall being filled with life, love and laughter.
If you would like to book the hall for any future functions/events or are interested in joining our team please email bookings@thecopemancentre.org.uk. Please note that we are asking all of our hall users to take sensible precautions while using the hall to prevent a rise in Covid infections, Please feel free to ask for more details about the measures we recommend when booking the hall.
We are always on the lookout for people to assist in the running of the hall, which is a registered charity. If you are interested please get in touch for an informal chat, we'd love to hear from you.
The Copeman Centre was originally a school and so is not the usual oblong building you immediately think of when someone mentions a village hall. It has character and is a much loved part of our village life.
It is centrally located, surrounded on all sides by the village green, and has its own car park. It is a short walk from several local churches and shops, including the butcher and baker (no candlestick maker though) who can provide an excellent catering service.
The halls are licenced for up to 150 people and this number can be accomodated at a sit down meal using both halls.
The Main Hall
This can be used as a space for toddler/childrens groups, dance and fitness area, seated dining or as a theatre layout.
We have had audio / visual equipment installed with funding help from the North Norfolk District Council Big Society Fund.
Bar kitchen
This area is adjacent to the Main Hall for serving drinks, meals etc.
The Long Hall
Is also available should you require more space for seated dining etc. however, the stage is not visible from this hall.. This hall can also be accessed via a side enterance during the evenings and school holidays. There is a seperate kitchen and toilets in the long hall which allows us to have more than one group in the hall at a time.
Catering kitchen
The Catering Kitchen is available as part of the long hall or can be hired seperatly , with stainless steel cooking facilities and dishwasher.
